He ran the company as CEO from 1990 for 19 years then was chairman until 2015 when he became non-executive director. In 2021, he gave up his board seat.
Morris owns a privately held hotel business, the Colonial Leisure Group, which is based in Melbourne. He also has interests in several tech companies.
Morris is spending most of his time in Northern Australia, where he owns two islands, a casino and a cattle station that he has opened as a resort.
