World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and women’s world No. 3 Aryna Sabalenka are the betting favorites to win Wimbledon, according to bookmaker,eu

Play at The All-England Club begins Monday.

Sinner, the Australian Open champion, is coming off winning the Halle tournament on grass, beating Hubert Hurkacz in the final.

Sinner (+180) is followed among the favorites by defending champion and No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz (+245) and 24-time major champion and No. 2 Novak Djokovic (+325).

Sinner and Alcaraz are in the same half of the draw and could meet in the semifinals.

Alcaraz, who overcame Djokovic in five sets in the Wimbledon final last year, defeated Sinner in the semifinals at Roland Garros en route to the title earlier this month. The 21-year-old Spaniard leads the 22-year-old Italian 5-4 in their head-to-head matchups.

Alcaraz is seeded to meet Frenchman Ugo Humbert in the fourth round and could play eighth seed Casper Ruud or Queen’s champion Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals. Alcaraz, who starts against Estonia qualifier Mark Lajal, is chasing his fourth major.

Sinner begins against Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann and might face 2021 finalist Matteo Berrettini in the second round. Sinner could then meet 21-year-old American Ben Shelton in the fourth round, with 2023 semifinalist Daniil Medvedev a potential quarterfinal opponent. Medvedev begins against Aleksandar Kovacevic and could meet Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round.

Seven-time champion Djokovic faces Czech qualifier Vit Kopriva in the first round. The Serbian could play Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the third round, Holger Rune in the fourth round and is projected to meet No. 7 Hurkacz in the quarterfinals. Djokoviic is seeded to play No. 4 Alexander Zverev in the semis.

On the women’s side, two-time Australian Open champion Sabalenka (+325) is a slight favorite over world No. 1 and five-time major champion Iga Swiatek (+375).

They are followed by 2022 champion Elena Rybakina (+650), U.S. Open champion Coco Gauff (+675), Ons Jabeur (+1150) and four-time major champ Naomi Osaka (+2000).

Sabalenka lost Saturday via walkover to Anna Kalinskaya in the quarterfinals of Berlin.

She told reporters following the match she is not 100% and can’t serve without pain because of a shoulder injury.

Sabalenka is slated to meet Emina Bektas of the U.S. on Monday.
