Charlotte's Web CBD products are made from hemp-derived CBD isolate.
A familiar CBD brand is making its way into Walmart, signaling a new milestone for the company. Charlotte's Web Holdings Inc., announced Wednesday that its hemp-derived CBD products are now available at over 800 Walmart spanning five states.
Starting this summer, Charlotte's Web CBD products will be sold at 827 Walmart stores in California, Illinois, Florida, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
"For the past 10 years Charlotte’s Web has made incredible progress improving access to hemp-derived CBD wellness for everyday Americans,” Charlotte's Web CEO Bill Morachnick tells Forbes in an email.
In 2022, Charlotte's Web entered into a groundbreaking endorsement with Major League Baseball©, and with the move into Walmart locations, the brand is doing something equally ambitious.
“Our NSF Certified for Sport® line of products became the Official CBD of Major League Baseball© and now, another milestone, our isolate topical products are available at Walmart,” Morachnick continues, adding that consumers are looking for value. “With rising inflation, we know how important it is to offer Americans accessibility through value, quality, and affordability."
The distribution deal at Walmart locations unlocks the company’s goal to expand Charlotte's Web CBD wellness footprint at a price point suitable for Walmart shoppers.
The company’s new line of CBD topicals are made with CBD isolate—a purified form of CBD removing unwanted compounds. Products that you’ll see on the shelves of Walmart locations include a balm stick, a cream and a cooling gel, each containing 1,000 milligrams of concentrated CBD isolate.

These are blended with soothing and cooling ingredients such as menthol, camphor, and aloe vera. Athletes, for instance, use topicals with cooling ingredients in an attempt to get better absorption. All products are non-GMO, cruelty-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free and formulated without major allergens.
Charlotte’s Web is Rooted in Healing
Charlotte’s Web is rooted in the miraculous benefits of hemp. The company is named after the late Charlotte Figi, a girl who lived with severe Dravet syndrome, but helped to improve her quality of life thanks to high-CBD, low-THC strains of hemp. Figi’s fight became a phenomenon, helping to inspire the CBD movement of people seeking medical benefits without the high.
The Stanley brothers—Joel, Jesse, Jon, Jordan, Jared, and Josh—crossbred a strain of marijuana with industrial hemp, eventually renaming the strain “Hippie’s Disappointment” to “Charlotte’s Web” in honor of Figi, its lack of THC leading to the strain’s true calling. The company expanded from its beginnings in Colorado to states where hemp-derived products are sold.
The move into Walmart is the latest signal that CBD is weaving its way into the mainstream consciousness, now with trusted hemp-derived products from Charlotte’s Web CBD.
