The Eagles Fly Into The Top 10 On A With Their New Album

Following

Earlier this year, the Eagles returned with a new album–or, at least a new compilation. The band dropped To The Limit: The Essential Collection in April, and it became a quick win on a number of Billboard charts upon its arrival.

Weeks later, the set is still performing well. The compilation is clearly racking up sales, and primarily streams, as fans of the Eagles continue to press play on the group’s most famous tunes. All that streaming activity has helped To The Limit climb into the highest tier on one Billboard ranking once again.

To The Limit surges one rung on this week’s Top Rock Albums chart. The compilation improves from No. 11 to No. 10 on the ranking of the most-consumed rock full-lengths and EPs in the country.

The Eagles are responsible for one of only two titles that appear inside the top 10 on the Top Rock Albums list that weren’t present in the region last time around. They are the only returning champions, while The Marias start their latest offering Submarine at No. 5.

When it was released this spring, To The Limit easily cracked the top 10 on this roster. The Eagles’ latest opened at No. 6, which remains its peak position on this specific tally.

To The Limit is one of five top 10-charters from the Eagles on the Top Rock Albums list. They’ve never reached the No. 1 rung, but they have come close. Hotel California stands as their best placement, as it stalled at No. 2 in 2017.

While it may be on the rise on the Top Rock Albums chart, To The Limit is actually falling on nearly every other Billboard tally it appears on at the moment. The set slips one spot on the Billboard 200, coming in at No. 45. It’s also down several pegs on the Top Streaming Albums list. The compilation does manage to hold at No. 13 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, however.
