Billie Eilish is currently stuck behind Taylor Swift once again on the Billboard 200. The alternative singer’s latest full-length Hit Me Hard and Soft is forced to settle for second place as Swift and her The Tortured Poets Department rule for an eighth frame.
As Hit Me Hard and Soft returns to its No. 2 peak, Eilish’s previous album is celebrating a special milestone—one that the Grammy winner has reached before.
Eilish’s Happier Than Ever has now lived on the Billboard 200 for 150 weeks. The title is her third project to make it to that number, and it likely won’t be her last.
Currently, her longest-running win on the Billboard 200 is her debut full-length, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? That title, which helped cement her rise as a superstar more than half a decade ago, has now racked up 272 stays on the list of the most-consumed albums in the U.S.
Her previous EP, Don’t Smile at Me, has also stayed on the tally for nearly as long. That short set racked up 253 stints somewhere on the Billboard 200.
In the past tracking week, Happier Than Ever, Eilish’s sophomore full-length, earned another 8,700 equivalent units, according to Luminate. That’s down a little more than 5% from the period before, and the title falls 15 rungs on the Billboard 200.
At present, Hit Me Hard and Soft ranks as Eilish’s fourth-longest-charting title on the Billboard 200, with just four frames on the ranking to its credit. It’s tied with her Prime Day Show EP, a live recording released in 2021 that peaked at No. 87. It will be years before the singer sees another project hit 150 weeks on the list, but Hit Me Hard and Soft could certainly go on to reach that number, as all of her past major releases have done so.
