Bon Jovi returned earlier this month with their latest album, Forever. The set became a quick win on a number of Billboard charts, as the group remains incredibly popular in the United States. As millions of people consumed the new project, many of them also revisited some of the band’s most beloved tunes, and now another collection from the New Jersey rockers is on the rise.
As Forever debuts high on the charts in America, Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits: The Ultimate Collection is also climbing. This week, the compilation lifts on all three rankings it appears on.
Greatest Hits jumps 12 spots on the Billboard 200 this week. The set pushes from No. 142 to No. 130. It’s nearing 350 weeks on the roster, which it will likely hit later this month.
The same title also enjoys much more subtle improvements on two other Billboard tallies. It steps up two rungs on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, where it now settles at No. 6. Over on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums list, it gains by just a single space, and it can be found at No. 33.
Luminate reports that in the past tracking week, Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits moved just over 10,000 units. That impressive figure includes more than 1,300 sales, which is notable for a release that many die-hard fans have already purchased. Total consumption for the album is up more than 4% from one frame to the next.
Forever opens inside the top 10 on five Billboard charts this week. It rules both the Top Album Sales and Top Rock Albums lists, bringing the band back to the peak position on those tallies. The same set is also new at No. 2 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking and No. 5 on both the Vinyl Albums chart and the Billboard 200.
In its first seven-day period of availability, Forever shifted just under five times as many units as the group’s Greatest Hits. Nearly all of its almost-50,000 equivalent copies were sales, as Bon Jovi fans had no issue paying to hear the latest from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
