Don’t Know What To Post? Win LinkedIn With One Powerful ChatGPT Prompt

Following

“I have no idea what to post,” said the founder who wanted to build a personal brand on LinkedIn. We’ve all been there. Planning to send some kick-ass LinkedIn posts that grab attention for all the right reasons, sitting down at the laptop and then nothing coming to mind. Don’t let writer’s block get you, and don’t post for the sake of posting. It won’t be effective.

Anyone can publish a few company updates, share a list of TED talks and get likes and comments from people they're connected to. But to get noticed for what you do: share you.

Without knowing what you stand for, you'll join those sharing anything and everything without a real plan. Tell ChatGPT who you are and what you do for an objective definition of your personal brand.

Get your content pillars, then stick to them. Combine each pillar with stories from your personal and professional journeys. Get your audience familiar with who you are and what you stand for. Reserve a clear space in their head; don’t leave it to chance.

Once you know your pillars, content ideas can flow faster than ever. Here’s how to set it up for success.

ChatGPT prompt to build your personal brand on LinkedIn

Open ChatGPT, edit the square brackets and paste this prompt:

"I describe myself as a [your professional role] and I help [specific target audience] achieve [main outcomes you help your audience achieve.] I would describe myself as [describe your personality, tone of voice, and how you want to come across online]. What are the key elements that define my personal brand and make me unique? I'm looking for 4 overriding themes that I can use as my content pillars."

When you have your content pillars, add this prompt to build them out:

"Throughout my business journey I have faced these challenges [list multiple challenges you have overcome.]

Given this information, what is the compelling story behind my personal brand? How can I craft a brand narrative that engages and resonates with my target audience, within these pillars?"

ChatGPT should now give you content ideas for each of your pillars, based on your unique story. Turn these ideas into posts, schedule them up and assess the response. Don’t be disheartened if you don’t get hundreds of likes on each one. Success on LinkedIn takes consistent action. All that matters is you start today.

Win LinkedIn by knowing what you stand for: active founders share their advice

Responding to a post on LinkedIn, founder and CEO Corrie LoGiudice said she used this prompt in a different way; to have confidence in her existing content. “I just tried this and it was pretty awesome because it validated for me why all my best performing posts perform the way they do. They align with everything ChatGPT predicted. It's pretty cool!”

Procurement executive Gaston Alvarado said the second prompt, “crafted an exquisite and interesting narrative for my personal brand that I loved for its accuracy and readiness for use.”

Share your relatable stories when you post online and attract your dream clients with your words. Seek out more prompts for building your personal brand and creating compelling LinkedIn posts, then dig into the metrics to keep improving and grow your business and brand in record time.
