This Luxury Hotel In Rome Wants You To Book A Supercar With Your Stay

Following

With spring bursting into bloom in bella Italia, one of Rome’s most enviably positioned hotels is enticing guests to escape to the Eternal City with a high-octane offer.

Palazzo Manfredi, a luxury hotel housed in a storied 17th-century residence just steps from the Colosseum, is inviting Italophiles to explore Rome’s cobblestone streets in one of the country’s most renowned supercars. Book the Lamborghini Experience and you can slide behind the wheel of a Huracán EVO for a half- or full-day of tooling around the sprawling open-air museum that is bella Italia’s perennially captivating capital. And if you’d prefer to venture further afield, you can do that too—and even have a driver chauffeur you if you’d prefer to leave the navigating to the experts. The package includes 150 kilometers (93 miles); additional kilometers are about $3 each.

The package also comes with a VIP arrival experience, late checkout (upon availability), and a complimentary welcome aperitif at The Court, Palazzo Manfredi’s recently unveiled cocktail bar. Its panoramic terrace, which overlooks the Colosseum and the ancient remains of Imperial Rome, doubles as an outdoor living room for guests and visitors, and is the perfect perch for a tipple before dining at the hotel’s Michelin-starred, rooftop restaurant, Aroma.

There’s arguably no better Roman rooftop dining option than Aroma, where Chef Giuseppe Di Iorio serves up a celebrated five-course tasting menu that currently includes dishes like Nerano-style ravioli with mantis shrimp and razor clams; black cod with beurre blanc, sesame, and dried tomato; and rack of lamb with peanuts and artichokes. (A fish, meat, and vegetarian tasting menu are also available.) Opt for the wine pairing, and proceed to revel in la dolce vita during incomparable evening of innovative gastronomy while you gaze out over the Colosseum toward Piazza Venezia, the cityscape studded with terracotta rooftops and Rome’s iconic umbrella pines. Guests are also invited for complimentary breakfast at Aroma before embarking on their adrenaline-fueled Lamborghini adventure.

The hotel offers seven dazzling suites, each unique, to retire to after cruising the city’s unmistakable Sampietrini cobblestone streets Italian-style in the Huracán EVO and exploring them on foot. Besides the 1,600-square-foot Grand View Penthouse Suite–which sleeps up to five people in two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms–there’s also the chic Grand View Suite Colosseo, a romantic two-story sanctuary with floor-to-ceiling windows, a Jacuzzi and walk-in shower, circular bed, and spacious terrace offering arresting views of the ruins of the Ludus Magnus gladiator school–the largest of the Roman gladiator schools, built by the emporer Domitian in the late first century–and the Colosseum.
