This article is more than 4 years old.

A glass of bubbly at check-in. A sabering ritual in the evening. A champagne-centric brunch.

It’s true: Champagne and hotels just go together.

But, some of the best hotels take their champagne celebrations to the next level. Here are nine over-the-top champagne experiences that you can have around the world because travel is certainly worth celebrating.

The Ritz-Carlton-Chicago: Veuve Boat Ride

Let a zippy yellow Veuve Clicquot boat be your chariot for a ride along the Chicago River. Through an exclusive partnership with The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, guests can glide along the river on the Veuve-branded boat and sip champagne while marveling at the architectural giants that define the downtown skyline. Frank Sinantra feels like an appropriate soundtrack as the big city lights cast their own twinkle on the river in the evening. During summer months, you may be lucky enough to catch fireworks blasting from Navy Pier.

Il Salviatino in Italy: Champagne Bath

Il Salviatino, a 15th century villa in Fiesole, Italy, gives guests the chance to experience a bubbly bath. A bath butler will fill a private tub with your favorite bubbles, whether that’s Prosecco, Spumante, or French Champagne. An additional chilled bottle of champagne for sipping comes with this luxe $10,000 bath. To round out your vacation in the Tuscan hills, enjoy a spa treatment in the gardens or go for a joy ride in a Ferrarri.

Multiple hotels: Champagne Vending Machines

Vending machines are getting a tony upgrade at some hotels. Grand Hyatt Vail in Colorado, for example, has a Moët & Chandon champagne vending machine. Take a mini bottle of bubbly back to your mountain-view room to sip and savor the serene views and relax even more with a CBD-infused massage at the hotel’s spa. The Dalmar in Fort Lauderdale, Florida also has a Moët vending machine, which is located in its sixth-floor lobby bar. Guests can show their ID at the bar and get a token for the bottle of Moët. Cheers to this trend!

The Spectator in Charleston: Free-Flowing Dom Perignon

A luxe, 41-room boutique hotel in Charleston, The Spectator offers a $45,000 Grand Life Package that includes an in-room “champagne button” serving free-flowing Dom Perignon. Pair it with caviar while lounging in the hotel’s plush Grand King Suite. As part of this decadent package, guests also receive transportation in a Rolls Royce, two Hermes robes, and turn-down service with a custom chocolate sculpture, plus a private dinner with a chef. Another option? The Charms of Charleston package includes a helicopter tour of the city, complete with champagne. At some point in your trip, though, you'll want to take a detour from champagne and head to The Spectator Bar, a handsome Prohibition-style retreat where cocktail craftsmen Allen Lancaster's menu boasts craft and classic cocktails.

Four Seasons Hotel in Austin: Paddleboarding and Champagne

Enjoy paddle boarding around Lady Bird Lake on a custom yellow Veuve Clicquot paddleboard through a package with Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. Outdoor enthusiasts have a few options, starting with the “Yellow Label Experience” that includes two hours of paddleboarding, followed by a dockside greeting with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. The “Grande Dame Experience” builds on that with an exclusive dinner pairing courses that pay respect to the champagne.

Grand Velas Los Cabos: Champagne and Fruit Caviar at Check-In

Clinking champagne at check-in is par for the course at many hotels. But Grand Velas in Los Cabos levels up, serving a “fruit caviar” with the glass of bubbly at check-in. Three varieties of fruit caviar are made fresh daily: Mango, strawberry and chambord. Plus, you’ll get a 5-minute head, neck, and shoulder massage to help you shift into vacation mode.

The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles: A Champagne Spa Treatment

At The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles, the 80-minute “Champagne and Shimmer Body Treatment” includes a treatment with champagne seeds. After a body scrub and hydrating massage, the final dusting is a 24-karat gold powder, which is a nod to Hollywood’s Golden Era.

Pronghorn Resort in Bend: Helicopter Ride and Champagne in a Lava Tube

There are lots of ways to enjoy a at sunset. But the most superb way, Pronghorn Resort in Bend, Oregon, proves is via a helicopter tour. Through a partnership with Big Mountain Heli Tours, guests staying at the new Huntington Lodge can be picked up on the golf course for a memorable sunset ride. Each year from Septemeber through late March, the sun sets lower over the Cascade Region. The result is a sky painted with golden pink hues and a flight over volcanic mountain terrain. A champagne surprise awaits at the end: Guests are taking into a lava tube (natural cave) on the course's 8th hole to toast a bottle of Veuve Clicquot.

Baccarat Hotel New York: Champagne Button

No doubt, the Baccarat Hotel New York has an impressive champagne list with 250 references and bottles priced from $160 to $50,000. The list is curated by the hotel's Wine Director Matthieu Yamoum, who, interestingly, is from Champagne, France. The hotel also has a "champagne button" on bedside phones in the guestrooms and suites. Press it, and your favorite champagne is delivered on ice with a pair of flutes.
