Vicky Hwang is the CEO of Chyau Fwu Wine & Spirits which operates Atlas, a bar located in Singapore’s Parkview Square. The building is part of the Chyau Fwu Group, which has a rich history rooted in construction and development since the 1950s.
Moved to Singapore in 2013 from Europe to look after Parkview Square, which is the last building that her grandfather built, Hwang brings a deep sense of pride and fulfillment to her role. With Atlas, she has discovered a platform to combine the family business and her passion in food and beverage. The Atlas bar has become a resounding success, and is ranked among the world’s best bars.
“What I love about property development is it’s something so tangible. And I feel like with Atlas or with F&B, you can take it even to the next level because it’s not just that you’ve built the building and you’ve walked through it, you felt it, you can then sit in it, you can have an experience as well,” she said.
With a vision to create a comprehensive hospitality group encompassing hotels, bars, and restaurants, Hwang seeks to leverage the success of Atlas and extend its footprint beyond Singapore.
