BTS May Be Headed For Another Bestseller–With A Half-Decade-Old Song

Following

It’s been nearly a year since BTS dropped a new song. That fact isn’t shocking, as the boy band is largely on hiatus as the seven members are all busy with other matters…but that doesn’t mean their fans have stopped consuming the music they’ve already released.

BTS is back on the iTunes chart in America with a tune that longtime fans of the group will be very familiar with. The outfit’s following is currently purchasing one of the South Korean all-male vocal troupe’s older cuts in a show of ongoing support for the septet…and all this newfound attention could help make the track a hit again.

“Not Today” by BTS recently bolted into the top 10 on iTunes’ ranking of the bestselling tracks in the U.S. on the platform. As of the time of writing, the cut appears at No. 5. It recently experienced a dozen-spot rise on the list, which aided in its push into the highest tier.

While it may be new to the top 10 on iTunes–at least this year–“Not Today” is not actually new. In fact, the tune has been out for more than half a decade, and fans of the group have never forgotten about the cut.

“Not Today” was released in 2017. It was eventually featured on two different projects from the band: You Never Walk Alone and Face Yourself. Both of those collections became successful on their own as well, thanks, in part, to the love this tune received.

BTS scored a No. 1 hit on the World Digital Song Sales chart with “Not Today,” which topped that tally that the septet knows very well years ago. The tune is one of the band’s 37 leaders on the tally–and one of their 117 top 10s.

In a little more than a week, there’s a chance that “Not Today” could return to the Billboard charts thanks to a healthy sales sum. The title stands a good shot at appearing on the World Digital Song Sales tally. It also might find its way to the all-genre Digital Song Sales list as well.
