Mercedes-Benz’s performance brand, AMG is releasing its first all-electric performance SUV: the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV. It’s based on the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, released this spring at a much lower price. The electric SUV was based on the EQE sedan, which is a simplified and smaller version of the Mercedes-Benz EQS. Try to keep up.
The new AMG version starts at $109,300, with pricing more aligned with the EQS SUV.
The EQE SUV arrived in three variations with more affordable pricing: rear-wheel-drive EQE 350+ and all-wheel-drive EQE 350 4Matic both start at $79,050 (including $1,150 for destination), while the more powerful EQE 500 4Matic comes in at $90,650.

The AMG EQE SUV will offer two trims (standard and top-trim Pinnacle) and an add-on performance package that will take the handling from speedy to race-ready. A Race Start boost in the AMG Dynamic Plus Package gets up to 677 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. The top speed is 149 mph and it takes 3.4 seconds to go from zero-to-60 mph. The base will include AMG electric motors at the front and rear and 4Matic+ all-wheel drive.
In the original version, a 90.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the 350+ with a single motor on the rear axle for 288 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque. The 350 4Matic adds a second drive unit on the front axle, upping torque to 564 lb-ft. The base EQE SUV accelerates to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, compared to the 4Matic’s 6.2. The 4Matic model is 335 pounds heavier than its rear-drive sibling. The EQE SUV has up to 279-mile range.
AMG didn’t provide details on car weight and battery, including range.
As AMG versions are wont to do, the SUV will display AMG-specific features like the grille with chrome vertical struts and other exterior cues that this is an AMG, like aerodynamic air diffusers. Exterior design packages include the AMG Night and Plus packages with black gloss accents and black chrome and 21- and 22-inch wheels.
Inside, the base offers as standard the massive MBUX Hyperscreen that spans the entire dash and is made up of three OLED screens. A panoramic roof, advanced safety features and parking and driving assistance is also included. Nappa leather upholstery is standard along with MB-Tex/micofiber with red contrast stitching for the AMG. An AMG Performance steering wheel is an option with different Nappa leather and other material combinations.

When Will the 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV Be Available?
The AMG EQE SUV is available in U.S. dealerships as of August 2023. Just don’t confuse it with the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV—it gets especially confusing when looking up the different, but similarly named, EV online.
How Much Will 2024 Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV Cost?
The AMG EQE SUV starts at $109,300 for the standard trim. The Pinnacle top trim is $112,600. Both exclude a $1,150 destination fee. Its main electric SUV competitors include the BMW iX ($84,100), Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV ($104,400) and Tesla Model X ($98,490 or $108,490 for the performance Plaid).
