For 2022 and newer Toyota Tundra owners there’s a new kit available for off-roading and a higher lift on the half-ton pickup.

Toyota Racing Development (TRD is the performance division and parts supplier at Toyota) offers a lift kit that raises the front 3 inches and the back by 2 inches for the Tundra pickup truck. It’s Toyota-certified to work with the Tundra and the Toyota Safety Sense system, Toyota’s suite of active-safety features. It can only be installed at the dealership for an extra $3,995 (not including labor costs). It’s not compatible with the TRD Pro, TRD Sport or trucks with AVS or air suspension systems.

The kit for the recently redesigned Tundra includes Bilstein front and rear shocks, Roush upper control arms, taller front coil springs, front lower knuckles, an extended drive shaft, bump stops, rear spring spacers, longer brake flex hoses and more. The kit raises ground clearance by 2.6 inches and increases approach (26 degrees from 21) and departure (25 degrees from 24) angles for off-roading.

A lifted Tundra makes it easier to add off-road tires and avoid obstacles on tough terrain. Lift kits are popular on other full-size trucks like the Tacoma and Ford F-150 pickup. Last year a similar dealer-installed suspension lift was available from TRD for the Tacoma.

The kit has a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty, though if the kit is added after purchase it only includes a 12-month coverage period no matter use or mileage.
