9 Las Vegas Breweries To Visit During Super Bowl Week

Following

Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, will host Super Bowl LVIII. Although the big game is on February 11, 2024, fans of the National Football League will converge on Sin City for official events beginning on February 5. While Las Vegas is famous for casinos, gambling and shows, it is also a culinary capital, including being home to a number of craft breweries.

Here are some great taprooms to visit while in Las Vegas, either for the biggest football game of the year, or your next adult getaway.

Brewery Row

Like many cities, craft beer has boomed in recent years in Las Vegas. The city is now home to Brewery Row, a cluster of five breweries within just a few blocks of each other, with a sixth brewery just a short, eight-minute drive away. Brewery Row is just a 15-minute car ride from The Strip, in the Las Vegas Arts District.

Able Baker Brewing

Able Baker gets its name from the first two atomic bombs detonated at the Nevada Test Site. Legend has it that the only animal to survive the atomic tests was a duck, so ducks feature heavily in Able Baker’s décor - sampler trays are in the shape of a duck footprint and feature a decorative rubber duckie. The taproom features 32 taps (!) so there is something for everyone.

Nevada Brew Works

Nevada Brew Works has no “core” beers. Instead, they offer an ever-changing line-up of house-made brews. But Nevada Brew Works is not just beer. Brick-oven pizzas and gourmet burgers are on the food menu and they feature an extensive list of whiskies.

HUDL Brewing

HUDL opened its doors to the thirsty Las Vegas public in October 2020. The taproom is a great place to “HUDL UP” with friends and family, they like to say. “Every beer has it’s own unique character,” says Skip Norfolk, co-founder. “You will experience four different IPAs should you have an IPA flight. They will be different and unique.” The brewery is located next door to Soul Belly BBQ, so after a flight of beers, there is a great destination for a bite before the next brewery.

CraftHaus Brewery

The Brewery Row location of CraftHaus is an outpost of their main brewery in Henderson, NV, which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The Brewery Row taproom features over two dozen taps with as many as eight different IPAs, along with a broad selection of other styles of beer. CraftHaus also offers non-alcoholic hop water.

Hop Nuts Brewing

The Hop Nuts taproom features eight core beers and an ever-changing line-up of seven more. Hop Nuts also offers a carefully chosen selection of guest taps.

Tenaya Creek Brewery

Tenaya Creek is one of Nevada’s early movers in craft beer, having opened in 1999. Their current location, just a short drive from Brewery Row opened in 2015. Tenaya Creek’s beers are distributed broadly, winning awards as far away as Australia, but the Las Vegas taproom is where the beer is freshest.

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas

From the Paris’s Eiffel Tower to the pyramids of Egypt, Las Vegas loves to recreate tourist destinations. For beer lovers, there are few venues more famous than Munich’s iconic Hofbrauhaus beer hall. Located just a 10-minute drive from The Strip, Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas serves traditional beers imported from Germany as well as locally brewed seasonal offerings.

Ellis Island Casino & Brewery

Ellis Island is a small, independent casino located just one block off The Strip. Opened in 1998, Ellis Island’s proximity to The Strip and incredible prices means the brewery can boast that they serve over 1 million glasses of beer each year. Being one of the original craft breweries in Nevada, Ellis Island brews five classic craft beer styles, along with a rotating lineup of seasonal offerings.

Trustworthy Brewing

Trustworthy is located in the Grand Canal Shoppes is and is the only brewery located on The Strip. The Las Vegas location, opened in 2019, is a second location for the Burbank-based brewery, which opened in 2017. Trustworthy serves a broad array of styles commonly found at American craft breweries.
