New L.A. Showplace Developed By ‘Seinfeld’ Producer Seeks $17.75 Million

Following

Seinfeld producer Andrew Scheinman is not just developing television shows and movies these days but homes as well. The Emmy Award winner, who in 2017 sold a previous development tony Bel-Air, has brought his latest luxury project in Los Angeles to the market for $17.75 million.

Tucked away behind gates off a private road in Brentwood’s coveted Lower Mandeville Canyon, the 2024 residence showcases the latest and greatest of modern architecture with a sleek design by award-winning firm Rockefeller Kempel A.I.A. Floating structures wrapped in sleek Western red cedar siding appear to levitate off the side of the hillside lot. Privacy is furthered by manicured greenery, including 150 newly planted trees.

A motif of natural accents can be found across the six-bedroom home. Along the living room, a multitiered-lit outdoor water feature ends in a 9-foot waterfall. An impressive 28-foot-high limestone-walled top outfitted with skylights stands at the entry. Wide plank, European oak flooring runs throughout.

Despite the occasional partition like a 72-bottle glass wine closet that separates the main living room from the dining room, the interior is bright and airy, with movable walls of glass for uninterrupted access to the back gardens. The chef’s kitchen boasts two sink stations, a hidden walk-in pantry and a retractable TV that rises from the eat-in central island.

Upstairs―accessible by stairs or the four-person elevator―houses the primary suite, complete with two fireplaces, a bamboo wraparound deck and two massive bathrooms, one of which is adorned with floor-to-ceiling white Carrara marble, a switch-glass shower and stunning sculptural granite tub while the other has a three-sided glass steam shower. Both primary bathrooms feature sizable walk-in closets.

Other highlights include an infrared sauna, home theater outfitted with state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos 9.2 surround sound and a 165-inch viewing screen. A rooftop deck takes in views stretching as far as the ocean.

The backyard is equally decked out with amenities, including a swimming pool with a Baja ledge, and an al-fresco dining area. An outdoor kitchen replete with a covered grill, pizza oven and lockable beverage center sits near the pool area.

Hilton & Hyland’s David Kramer holds the listing.

In addition to Seinfeld, Scheinman is known for producing such iconic films as The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally and A Few Good Men.
