United Airlines To Resume Flights To Tel Aviv

Following

Travelers who want to visit Tel Aviv will soon be able to, as United Airlines plans to resume the daily flight service between Israel and New York. The service was suspended in October 2023 for passengers and cargo due to the ongoing war in the region.

United Flights To Tel Aviv From New York/Newark Will Resume

United Airlines is the first U.S. carrier to resume flights to Tel Aviv from New York Newark. The route will begin again on March 2, 2024. However, the flights will not be direct. The route will stop in Munich, to ensure that the services are ready for non-stop service, which is slated to begin on March 06, 2024.

A second flight, that will also stop in Munich, is scheduled for March 04, 2024. Note that there will not be flights on March 03, 2024, and March 05, 2024.

The airline has worked with security professionals and government officials both in the United States and Israel to determine if the route is safe. The Air Line Pilots Association as well as the Association of Flight Attendants were also consulted and have worked with the airline to establish safety protocols.

If the service goes as planned, the airline plans to resume another daily flight from Newark to Tel Aviv in May. Additionally, flights to Tel Aviv from San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare may also resume, but not until fall 2024.

Flights can be booked now on both the United Airlines website and app. Flights are also available on Lufthansa, United’s partner airline.
