Alaska Airlines Is The Newest Bilt Transfer Partner

Following

Bilt Rewards is announcing a partnership with Alaska Airlines as the travel and rent rewards program's newest airline transfer partner. It's possible to transfer Bilt Points to Alaska Airlines at a 1:1 ratio. Extra perks will be available later this year. For example, the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® card will be able to earn double Alaska miles on qualifying rent purchases later this year.

Bilt Rewards And Alaska Airlines Partnership

Starting on March 14, 2024, it's possible to convert Bilt Points into Alaska Miles at a 1:1 ratio through the Bilt mobile app. This is the only full-time points transfer partnership between the airline and a credit card rewards program.

Typically, you must transfer to a oneworld alliance member to book partner flights that Alaska operates or convert hotel points. Either option is inconvenient, and going through hotel loyalty programs results in low transfer ratios of 3:1 or less.

The most convenient way to earn Bilt Points is by paying for daily purchases with the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®. This card has no transaction fees, a $0 annual fee, and $0 foreign transaction fees (See Rates and Fees). It also earns up to 3x points on purchases, plus 1x on rent payments (on up to 100,000 points in a calendar year) without transaction processing fees. There are cardholder-exclusive ways to earn extra points. However, you must use the card 5 times each statement period to earn points (learn more about the Rewards and Benefits).

Another option is linking existing credit or debit cards to your Bilt Wallet to collect Bilt Points plus your credit card rewards (i.e., airline miles, hotel points, travel points, cash back, etc.) on qualifying neighborhood spend. Eligible transactions can include dining, groceries, coffee shops, and more.

"As one of the most loved brands in aviation, this first-of-its-kind partnership with Alaska Airlines not only broadens Bilt's members’ ability to travel everywhere Alaska and its partners fly but also exemplifies our commitment to providing Americans with more valuable ways to earn and redeem rewards on their largest monthly expense, rent, and within their local neighborhood,” says Bilt Rewards CEO Ankur Jain.

Pay Rent With The Alaska Airlines Visa

Later in 2024, cardholders of the Alaska Airlines credit card will be able to earn 3x Alaska miles when paying rent through Bilt. More details will be available as this feature rollout launches. For now, it's possible to earn up to 50,000 Bilt Points annually on rent payments from a linked Alaska Airlines Visa Signature.

This is a first-ever agreement as you must currently use the Bilt Credit Card to earn points by paying rent with a credit card.

Other ongoing travel benefits for this co-brand airline credit card include earning up to 3x miles on Alaska purchases, 20% black on in-flight purchases, and $100 off an annual Alaska Lounge+ membership. Cardholders can also earn the popular Companion Fare to enjoy a one-time travel discount each year.

Summary

Alaska Airlines is an excellent option for low-cost award flights to Hawaii and other idyllic destinations across North America. Being able to transfer credit card points directly to Alaska is monumental for award travel. It is also another compelling reason to consider getting the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®, whether you pay rent or own a home.
