Audi A4 Overview

The A4 is a well-appointed compact sedan that’s still in its fifth generation and brimming with many now-standard features that are usually an extra charge in the luxury automotive marketplace. Available in a sedan or wagon body style, it’s equipped with a 201-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 40 TFSI engine paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Audi’s signature “quattro” all-wheeldrive is now basic equipment. A more powerful variant of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 45 TFSI engine that generates 261 horsepower is optionally available on the sedan and standard on the wagon. The performance-oriented S4 model uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine tied to an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers 349 horsepower.

One the A4’s standout features is the available 12.3-inch digital instrument panel that displays Google Earth topography, 3D maps and integrated turn-by-turn directions for better navigation. Centered in the dashboard is a high-mounted 10.1-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback with the brand’s latest MIB 3 infotainment platform that features natural language voice control, handwriting recognition, Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity. A standard sunroof brightens the cabin and three-zone climate control keeps all passengers comfortable. For buyers that want the cargo capacity of a SUV with the handling and comfort of a sedan, the Allroad wagon offers 1.3-inch higher ground clearance and 24.2 cubic-feet of cargo capacity behind the second row—more than twice the amount found in the car.

The Convenience Package can be added for $1,800 and includes SiriusXM All Access service with 90-day trial subscription, blind spot monitoring, rear end collision sensing, rear cross traffic assist and vehicle-exit warning as well as power-adjustable, auto-dimming, heated exterior side mirrors.
