Honda Clarity Fuel Cell Overview

The 2019 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedan runs on an electric motor powered by a fuel cell that converts hydrogen into electricity. In addition to its 360-mile range, the major benefits to the Clarity is its zero-emissions footprint and quick charging time. It takes three to five minutes to refill versus an all-electric vehicle, which takes at least 30 minutes on a DC fast charger. The Clarity fuel cell drives similarly to the Honda Accord midsize sedan, which offers a silky ride and athletic handling. Unlike the spacious Accord, the Clarity’s hydrogen tank eats up much of available trunk space and prevents the back seat from folding down. The Clarity fuel cell achieves 68 mpg equivalent, or MPGe, in city driving, 67 MPGe on the highway and 68 combined MPGe.

Trim Specifications

The Clarity Fuel Cell is well-appointed and comes standard with Honda sensing Honda Sensing safety and driver assist technology, a package that includes forward collision warning, automatic collision braking, lane keep assist, road departure alert and adaptive cruise control. It also gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, navigation, premium audio and an 8-inch display screen.
