Jaguar I-PACE Overview
All I-PACE models feature 90kWh batteries and all-wheel drive, affording them the same 234-mile range. Four trim levels are offered, all very nicely equipped, with even the base S model featuring a panoramic sunroof and an active air suspension. SE models add snazzier headlamps, 20-inch wheels (compared to 18s for the S), power tailgate, leather seats, and more. HSE models feature upgraded leather and a few more creature comforts, but little else that appears to justify the $4,500 upgrade. Given that, the $86,925 prices of the 2019 First Edition models seems pretty high, but for early adopters that want to flaunt their new ride, these Photon Red, loaded-to-the-gills limited edition models add niceties such as faux suede headliners and Ashwood interior trim.
Trim Specifications
The base LX trim includes cruise control, an 8-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility, and 60/40 folding rear seats, as well as a pretty comprehensive suite of safety features including forward-, rear- and blind-spot collision warning, lane departure warning and more. The S adds 18-inch machined aluminum wheels, dual exhaust tips, and a ten-way power-adjustable seat with lumbar support. The EX trim finds a nice balance between driving experience and value. Its turbocharged engine and quick dual-clutch transmission offer some semblance of engagement, though the Optima is a docile creature overall. The EX does, however, feature an impressive list of standard features including leather seats, heated front seats, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a wireless phone charger, a wood grain accent trim and adaptive cruise control. The EX Premium adds ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and LED interior lighting while the SX moves up to the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder.
