Chevrolet Bolt EV Overview

Offering generous range, a spacious interior and a reasonable price tag, the Chevrolet Bolt EV asks little in the way of comprises for flipping the switch and going fully electric. Powered by a 200-watt electric motor, the front-drive, four-door Bolt hatchback provides spirited acceleration in a compact package and can be genuinely fun to drive.

Capable of traveling over 250 miles on a single charge, the Bolt’s 66 kWh battery pack can be fully recharged in 10 hours via a 240-volt outlet or regain 100 miles of range in just 30 minutes when connected to a public “fast charge” station (Available DC fast charge option required).

EVs have come a long way in the last couple of years, and the Chevrolet Bolt should be near the top of the list of anyone considering taking the EV plunge.

Trim Specifications

Both Bolt trims, LT and Premier, offer a good level of standard basic features including push-button start, cruise control, heated mirrors, six-way manually adjustable front bucket seats, a manually operated tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and a six-speaker audio system with satellite radio. The Premier trim adds a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seating, roof rails and bespoke aluminum wheels. We’d stick with the LT and spend the savings on the $750 optional onboard DC charger.
