Buick Envision Generations

First Generation

2016 to Present
Built in Shandong, China, this compact crossover was created for Buick's largest market and debuted there in 2013. In that country, Buick routinely sells more than a million vehicles a year, a feat the very American brand has never achieved in the United States (where it's best year was 1984, with about 940,000 cars sold). In 2015, Buick introduced the Envision to the United States for the first time. It was the first mass-market Chinese-assembled vehicle to be sold in the United States and allowed Buick to fill the gap between the tiny Encore and the largish mid-size Enclave SUVs.
