Buick Encore Overview

The 2020 Buick Encore is well appointed and offers a host of standard features on the base trim, including roof rails and a 60/40-splitting back row as well an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Encore is powered by a 138-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged engine paired with a six-speed automatic. It comes standard with front-wheel-drive and offers all-wheel-drive on all but the base trim. All Encores are also equipped with Buick’s Quiet Tuning technology that keeps exterior noise from the entering the cabin.

Trim Specifications

In addition to an 8-inch touchscreen, the base 1VS trim offers a 4G LTE hotspot and a 4.2-inch display with odometer, fuel economy, range and trip information. The Preferred trim has a rear cargo cover and carpeted front and rear floor mats. Sport Touring adds remote start, 18-inch aluminum wheels and a rear spoiler. All-weather floor mats and crossbars can be added to Preferred and Sport Touring for $350, and blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are part of a $495 safety package. Upgrading to the Essence includes heated and leather trimmed front seats and steering wheel. A larger safety package that includes an in-vehicle air ionizer, rain detecting wipers, front and rear park assist, forward collision alert and lane departure warning for in available for $940. A power moonroof, nicer 18-inch wheels and navigation are available for $1,940 as part of a Buick experience package. All-wheel-drive is a $1,500 upgrade in all trim but the base 1VS.
