Nissan Armada Overview

The 2020 Nissan Armada is a big truck that requires a big engine so Nissan equipped it with a 5.6-liter V8 engine paired to seven-speed automatic transmission that delivers 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. The Armada is two-wheel-drive but offers dual-range four-wheel-drive for access to low gear range, making it a capable off-road vehicle. It drives like a big SUV, but the suspension is firm enough to keep it wallowing through corners and soft enough to deliver a quiet and smooth ride. The Armada can haul up to 8,500 pounds when equipped properly, which gives it major towing credentials. Self-leveling rear suspension, a valuable aid when trailering, is standard. The Armada offers 20.3 cubic-feet behind the third row, which more than doubles to 49.1 cubic-feet with the rear seats folded down.

Trim Specifications

All four Armada trims come with rear door alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and intelligent forward collision warning. The base SV model comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, a rearview monitor, push button start, rear door alert, a 60/40-splitting second row and a 50/50-splitting flat-folding third-row bench. The SL trim adds remote engine start, automatic high beams, power liftgate, surround view monitor and leather-appointed seats. The Platinum grade adds lane keep assist, heated and cooled front seats, a family-friend tri-zone entertainment system with dual 8-inch monitors with HDMI input, a DVD player and wireless headphones. The Platinum Reserve trim gets premium two-tone leather, open pore wood and black quartz trim and exclusive Platinum Reserve badging. Four-wheel-drive is a $3,000 option on all grades.
