Nissan Murano Overview
The 2020 Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. All models are paired with a continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but a swap to an all-wheel drivetrain is available across the board. The CVT can be noisy under pressure, but once at speed, it hums along nicely. The Murano shines on road trips when the whining of the CVT becomes white noise and the suspension—tuned for comfort—delivers a smooth ride. The upgrade to AWD provides confident traction in snow and rain, but does not add confidence off road like some of its peers. The Murano achieves and EPA-estimated 20 mpg in city driving and 28 on the highway, which is at the top of its class.
