Chase Sapphire Reserve: Dining Perks To Tempt Your Tastebuds

Content Presented By

If credit cards could earn Michelin stars, Chase Sapphire Reserve® would shine brightly. The card’s rewards on dining purchases are just the first course in a multi-course menu of benefits. With exclusive access to dining experiences and an array of travel benefits to take you wherever your tastebuds desire, Chase Sapphire Reserve dishes out a smorgasbord of perks to satisfy anyone who appreciates a good meal.

Fill Up on Rewards

For foodies who find the thrill of trying new places almost as satisfying as the meal itself, Chase Sapphire Reserve earns 5 points per dollar on air travel and 10 points per dollar on hotels and car rentals when purchasing travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards® immediately after the first $300 is spent on travel purchases annually. Cardmembers also earn 3 points per dollar on other travel and dining and 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases after earning the card’s $300 travel credit.

Cardmembers also earn 10 points per dollar on Chase Dining Purchases made with Ultimate Rewards.

Powered by Tock, the Chicago-based restaurant-booking service, Chase DiningSM offers opportunities to redeem points for reservations, or for takeout and delivery with local restaurants. The Sapphire Private Dining series also provides exclusive opportunities to attend curated dining experiences both in-person and virtually through Sapphire at Home dining events.

Delivery Benefits

Don’t feel like going out? Chase Sapphire Reserve can help you enjoy meals at home, too. Not only does Chase DiningSM extend to pickup and delivery orders, but partner offers and credits from DoorDash will deliver extra value every month.

DoorDash DashPass Membership

With complimentary access to DashPass—DoorDash and Caviar’s joint membership program—Chase Sapphire Reserve makes it rewarding to order take out and delivery. This partner offer with DashPass offers $0 delivery fees with lower service fees on eligible orders for a minimum of a year, but the benefit must be activated before Dec. 31, 2024. To further sweeten the deal, cardmembers get $5 in monthly DoorDash credits redeemable at checkout.

Hit List Dinner Series

The Hit List Dinner Series presented by Chase Sapphire and restaurant-recommendation site The Infatuation also offers unique dining events available exclusively to Sapphire Reserve cardmembers. For example, this past September, a five-course tasting menu, cocktail hour and thematic wine pairing at Tomo in Seattle offered cardholders an opportunity to enjoy the designs and work of Chef Brady Ishiwata Williams.

Just this past month, select cardmembers enjoyed an interactive cocktail hour and five-course regional fare-focused dinner at Lutie’s in Austin’s historic Hyde Park. Upcoming events include  a cocktail masterclass and three-course communal-seated mezze dinner featuring Modern Aegean cuisine at Doya in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, known for its ever-changing outdoor wall art installations.

Other past events have included dinners at Ci Siamo in New York City, Alla Vita in Chicago, Middle Child Clubhouse in Philadelphia and Nisei in San Francisco. If you can’t attend an event, Chase Sapphire holds reservations in the days after exclusively for cardmembers.

Reserved by Sapphire Dining Series and Reservations

Chase Sapphire Reserve also offers exclusive dining events through Reserve by Sapphire’s Private Dining Series. The program partners with chefs and restaurants to bring unique experiences to cardmembers around the country. For example, through a culinary partnership with chef Grant Achatz, Sapphire Reserve cardmembers are welcomed to a world of creativity at one-of-a-kind dining experiences at The Alinea Group restaurants.

Looking for a unique dining opportunity this November? The Seaport Food Lab in New York City will provide three weeks of chef-led dinners exclusively for Ultimate Rewards redeemers. Each week, there are plans to feature a different chef, and tickets can be purchased on the card or bought by redeeming Ultimate Rewards points.

Upcoming events include:

  • November 17, 2022: Next—Chicago
  • November 17, 2022: St. Clair Supper Club—Chicago
  • December 1, 2022: Saison—San Francisco
  • December 14, 2022: Roister—Chicago
  • December 15, 2022: Alinea—Chicago

Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers can also find hard-to-obtain reservations through Reserve by Sapphire, including for sporting events, live music and other entertainment.

Other Benefits of the Chase Sapphire Reserve

As pandemic restrictions have eased, staying in may seem unappealing. If you’re inspired to go farther from home to pursue new plates and stimulate your palate, Chase Sapphire Reserve’s travel benefits can help you find new tastes virtually anywhere. With an annual travel credit, airport lounge access, luxury hotel benefits and protections to help you stay covered along the way, the card can make your next dining adventure more palatable.

$300 Annual Travel Credit

Chase Sapphire Reserve serves up a $300 statement credit for travel purchases each year and applies it automatically. All you have to do is use your card to make eligible purchases. Chase’s wide array of eligible travel categories for the credit include rideshare purchases, tolls and parking, so even if you aren’t going far, you’ll still be able to use the benefit.

Airport Lounge Access

With several Chase Sapphire Lounges set to open next year, the airport experiences will soon be as much the destination as they are a part of the journey. But many cardmembers need not wait, as complimentary Priority Pass Select membership with enrollment is included for holders of Chase Sapphire Reserve and unlocks access to more than 1,300 VIP lounges in over 500 cities worldwide.

Partner Benefits

Need a ride to dinner? Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers get 10x total points on Lyft rides through March 2025. Get there faster with a two-year complimentary Lyft Pink All Access membership, which includes free priority pickup upgrades and 10% off Lux rides. Activate the benefit in the Lyft app by Dec. 31, 2024.

Home cooks won’t feel left out, either. Skip the grocery store with partner benefits from Instacart. Chase Sapphire Reserve members are eligible to receive one year of complimentary Instacart+ membership. This perk includes $15 in statement credits each month through July 2024.

Luxury Hotel Collection

A feature of many luxury hotels and resorts are the world-class restaurants housed within. Properties in Chase’s Luxury Hotel and Resort Collection provide several tasty benefits exclusively for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers. When booking through the Chase program with Sapphire Reserve, cardmembers can receive a daily breakfast credit for two, room upgrades when available, early check-in, late check-out and a unique $100 credit benefit at select properties.

Bon Appetit

Whether to the couch to enjoy takeout from your favorite local eatery, to the kitchen to whip up something of your own creation or across the world to a luxurious five-star dining experience, Chase Sapphire Reserve will help you go wherever your taste buds might lead you and earn you rewards along the way.
