Rich Rewards For Travel Expenses

If Chase Sapphire Reserve’s rewards were carry-on luggage, they’d have to be gate-checked for being so big: For travel purchases through Chase Ultimate Rewards®, cardmembers earn 5 points per dollar spent on air travel and 10 points per dollar spent on hotels and car rentals. All other travel purchases earn 3 points per dollar, worldwide—after you spend $300 on travel purchases annually.

Cardmembers also earn 10 points per dollar on Chase Dining^SM purchases through the Ultimate Rewards portal. Chase Dining provides Sapphire cardmembers exclusive access to curated dining experiences through the Sapphire Private Dining Series and offers opportunities to redeem points for reservations, takeout and delivery with local restaurants.

Exclusive Dining Events

The Hit List Dinner Series gives Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers exclusive access to the hottest new restaurants across the country, as featured on The Infatuation’s Hit List monthly editorial guide.

For example, cardholders in the Miami area can enjoy a unique dining experience at Doya in Miami. The Wynwood-area restaurant will host an exclusive dinner for Chase Sapphire cardholders starting off with a cocktail masterclass and light bites, followed by a three-course hot and cold family-style mezze dinner highlighting Modern Aegean cuisine. The event will have communal seating so attendees will be seated with other cardmembers.

Chase Sapphire Reserve Travel Protections

Even the most well-planned itineraries can experience turbulence or bumps in the road, but Chase Sapphire Reserve prepares you to fly and roll through it all with Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver, Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance, Lost Luggage Reimbursement, Trip Delay Reimbursement and other travel protections.

Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance

Travel can be nerve-wracking, but with Chase Sapphire Reserve’s Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance, you can typically book without worry. If your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather and other covered situations, you can be reimbursed up to $10,000 per person and $20,000 per trip for your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses, including passenger fares, tours, and hotels.

Trip Delay Reimbursement

Your Chase Sapphire Reserve won’t leave you behind. If your common carrier travel is delayed more than 6 hours or requires an overnight stay, you and your family are covered for unreimbursed expenses, such as meals and lodging, up to $500 per ticket.

Lost Luggage Reimbursement

If you or an immediate family member check or carry on luggage that is damaged or lost by the carrier, you’re covered up to $3,000 per passenger when you use your Chase Sapphire Reserve card to book travel tickets.

Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver

Decline the rental company’s collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your Chase Sapphire Reserve card. Coverage is primary and provides reimbursement up to $75,000 for theft and collision damage for rental cars in the U.S. and abroad.

Emergency Evacuation and Transportation Coverage

If you or a member of your immediate family are injured or become sick during a trip far from home that results in an emergency evacuation, you can be covered for medical services and transportation up to $100,000.
