Nissan Rogue Sport Overview

The 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport, still in its first generation, comes in three trims: the base S, the premium SV and the premium SL. All variants are powered by 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission that delivers 141 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. The Rogue Sport can be configured with front- or all-wheel-drive and offers an Eco drive mode. Fuel economy is rated at 25 mpg in city driving, 32 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg combined (AWD models lag by about 1 mpg in all categories). Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite of driver assistance technology—which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, radar-based blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and high beam assist—is also standard on all trims. Nissan offers its ProPilot system in its top SL trim (it’s optional on the SV), which is a combination of adaptive cruise control and lane centering that is activated by a one-button push. All trims also have a 60/40-splitting rear seat for flexible cargo carrying.

Trim Specifications

A 7-inch touchscreen with NissanConnect and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard across the lineup. The base S trims comes with 16-inch wheels, remote keyless entry, four cup holders and four bottle holders, six cargo tie down hooks and cloth seats. The SV has 17-inch wheels and adds dual-zone temperature control, 8-way power driver seat with 2-way lumbar support, roof rails, the Divide-N-Hide storage cubby underneath the rear floor and premium cloth seats. An All-Weather package with heated seats and wheel, fog lights and remote start can be layered on for $920. For a more robust upgrade that also includes ProPilot Assist and a 360-degree camera, the Technology package is available for $2,850. The top SL trim has 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats and wheel, ProPilot Assist, traffic sign recognition and navigation. A Premium package that adds a moonroof, LED headlights, Bose premium audio and fog lights in available for $2,280. All-wheel-drive is a $1,350 option on all three trims.
