Thankfully, Hilton has more than 7,000 properties worldwide, so finding a way to use the points and the free night won’t be difficult. In fact, these eight Hilton hotels offer strong value for your points.

The Hilton Honors American Express Card (terms apply, see rates & fees) comes with a welcome bonus of 80,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $1,000 in purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership. The card also earns 7 Hilton Honors points for each dollar of eligible purchases charged directly with hotels or resorts within the Hilton portfolio, 5 points for each dollar of eligible purchases at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. supermarkets, and at U.S. gas stations and 3 points per dollar on all other eligible purchases and with no annual fee.
The low spending requirement is an easy trade-off for more than enough points for a two-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, which is less than eight miles from Niagara Falls and about six miles from the area’s wine country. Add in your free night reward, and you could aim for a mini-getaway and see the gorgeous falls from Canada’s side.

The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card (terms apply) comes with a welcome bonus of 150,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in purchases on the card in the first 3 months of card membership and has a $95 annual fee. It earns 12 Hilton Honors bonus points per dollar on eligible purchases at participating hotels or resorts within the Hilton portfolio, 6 points per dollar on eligible purchases at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. supermarkets, and at U.S. gas stations and 3 points per dollar for other eligible purchases.

The Amex Surpass welcome bonus adds up to a weeklong stay at the new Hotel du Parc Bougival in France, which sits beside the River Seine and is just a few miles from Versailles.

With the The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card (terms apply, see rates & fees), you can earn 130,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $3,000 in purchases on the card within the first three months of card membership. It also earns 12 Hilton Honors Bonus Points per dollar on eligible purchases at participating hotels and resorts within the Hilton portfolio, 6 points per dollar at U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers, and on U.S. purchases for shipping, U.S. restaurants, on flights booked directly with airlines or with American Express Travel, and on car rentals booked directly from select car rental companies and 3 points per dollar on all other eligible purchases. An added perk is the ability to get another free night reward after spending $60,000. After meeting the spending requirements you’ll have more free nights to use on your next trip than you’ll know what to do with.

Hilton Honors Program Benefits

The Hilton Honors program offers exclusive perks depending on your status, and you can earn points on your stays and turn those into even more free nights or travel with Hilton partners. Each card comes with at least Silver status, which means you can get the fifth night free on any award booking. And if you’re new to the Hilton Honors program, it offers a new member welcome offer of 1,500 bonus points on your first stay, plus an extra 3,000 on your second.
