Eligibility for SBI Credit Card

Following are the things SBI takes into consideration before accepting applicants as their customers:

Minimum Age: Applicant must be 21 or more than 21 years old.

Maximum Age: Applicant must not be more than 70.

Occupation:Salaried or self-employed is also an important factor, applicants must produce a document proving their regular source of income.

  • You can book a credit card on a sales call from SBI.
  • One can also visit the branch and book the credit card.
  • Visiting the official site of SBI is an easy option, or the website featuring SBI cards.

How to Apply for an SBI Credit Card Apply Online?

You can log in into the official website of SBI and go to the credit cards section, select the card and click where it is written to apply, it will ask for a few details, and after filling these details, an OTP will be generated and will be sent to the mobile number entered by you.

The OTP number has to be entered in a slot given on the same page. After this a few other details will be asked about your salary, current residential address. After submitting these details the bank will get in touch with you for an appointment.

SBI’s agent will come to your address to do the KYC or if there is no branch close to you then the agent will get on a video call with you. After completing the KYC you will get the credit card by mail, within 7 days.

How to Apply for an SBI Credit Card Offline?

You will have to visit any branch of SBI, with the KYC documents given above, and ask for the agent dealing with credit cards. You can tell that person about the choice of credit card and deposit the KYC documents. Bank will check those documents and send you a mail or message of confirmation, after which you will receive your card by mail,within seven working days.

Annual: In SBI joining fee is known as annual fee and it is the fee which is charged the first year of a user subscribing for the card, this fee will vary from card to card.

Renewal Fees: In SBI annual fee is known as renewal fee and is charged every year from the card holder.

Cash Advance Fee: This fee is charged if a person takes out cash with the help of his credit card from an ATM in time of an emergency. There will be a charge of 2.5% or 500 in the upcoming billing cycle.

Cash Payment Fee: This fee will be charged on the payment of your credit card bill in cash. This fee will be INR 250 + GST.
