What Is Learn4Good?
Learn4Good is a free job posting site that boasts more than 10 million users. Besides being a marketplace for employers and job seekers, it’s also a place to browse universities and their programs and to find and post internships. Learn4Good is free for employers but they have the option of becoming a paid member to receive certain benefits.
How Learn4Good Works
We tested Learn4Good on a Windows laptop using the Google Chrome browser. We got started by registering our company as an employer. We had to enter our company name, address, phone number, description, administrator email address and a password.
After setting up your account, you can start posting your jobs right away or search through résumés. After you log in, you’re immediately taken to the job post page.
Learn4Good Features
Learn4Good only includes free job postings and free, albeit limited, candidate searches.
Job Posting
As an employer, you can post up to 20 free job posts over a six-month period. It’s easy to find where to post jobs, but if you click around to view other things on the site first, it can be difficult to find your way back to the job posting page. Learn4Good’s site is quite busy and jam-packed with text.
To post a job, you have to look to the gray box on the right that says “Account Menu” where you see “Post a Job” as one of the several options.
The job posting page prompts you to enter:
- Job title
- Job location
- Up to two job categories
- Salary range
- Job description
- Required skills and qualifications
- Additional optional information, such as information about company culture, perks and benefits
- Optional language skills desired
- Optional prescreening application questions
You must also select the employment type, whether full time, part time, contractor or another classification. Your company’s contact information will automatically populate into the job post.
You can control which applications get forwarded to you by setting minimum experience and education requirements as well as location requirements. Any applications that do not meet the minimum requirements will not get forwarded to you.
Each job post is reviewed by Learn4Good’s administrative and security team to ensure the legitimacy of job postings. Learn4Good prohibits the following types of job posts that include but are not limited to:
- Jobs for the adult entertainment industry
- Certain work-from-home jobs, such as data entry and email processing
- Multilevel marketing (MLM) job opportunities
- Online business opportunities
- Career/job fairs and webinars
- Poorly crafted, vague job descriptions
- Roles that require candidates to pay a fee
Your job post will remain published for six months. After six months, you can renew or upgrade to a paid plan. Your information and jobs saved to the Learn4Good site will not be lost unless you delete the job or your account, so you won’t have to start from scratch at each renewal period.
When a qualified job seeker applies to your job, Learn4Good emails you the application. Learn4Good allows you to receive an unlimited number of applications. Alternatively, if you opt to display your company phone number in your job listing, you can have applicants contact you via phone call instead. However, this option may result in a lot of phone calls for your recruiters who would also have to screen applicants on their own. For this reason, the email method is more efficient.
Limited Candidate Search
You can search Learn4Good’s database of contacts; however, under the free plan, you won’t be able to see candidates’ contact information. To do that, you’ll need to upgrade. Learn4Good’s candidate search capabilities are, therefore, severely limited under the free plan.
When searching for candidates in Learn4Good’s database, you can search by:
- Location
- Country of citizenship
- Language
- Employment category (industry)
- Education
- Year of experience
- Employment type, such as full time or contract
- Skills or profession title
- How recently the CV/résumé has been uploaded
We tried conducting a relatively broad search that only yielded two candidates matching our criteria of the “Marketing/Advertising/PR” industry and three years of experience. When clicking on one of the candidates in the search results, we were able to see their entire résumé but, as expected, no contact information.
Learn4Good Pricing and Plans
Learn4Good is free. However, you can upgrade to a six-month paid plan to receive certain benefits.

Job Plans
Learn4Good’s job plans are for job posting, receiving applications via email and viewing candidates’ contact info in the database. Depending on the level, some job plans include the “Featured Company” benefit and promoted job posts that appear at the top of search results.
Link Plans
The key difference between the job plans and link plans is that the link plan enables companies to direct applicants to their own career site. Any interested candidates request the link to the application web page from your Learn4Good job posting and once the candidate obtains it, they can follow the link to your career site to apply for the job.
It’s important to note that the link plans offer fewer free job postings and no candidate contact information views in the database, so they don’t provide as much value for the money as the job plans do.
Additional Features Worth Noting
Learn4Good’s premium membership plans include more unlimited job posts, promoted job posts, candidate contact information and other benefits.
Promoted Job Posts
Signing up for one of Learn4Good’s premium subscription tiers enables you to promote a limited number of job ads per six months. This allows your job ad to appear at the top of job seekers’ search results for 90 days which leads to more job ad views and more applications.
Full Candidate Search
Learn4Good’s paid members can search the database and view candidates’ full résumés, including their contact information.
Featured Company
Some paid plans include the Featured Company benefit. As a featured company, your company’s name and logo appear on the right side of Learn4Good’s job site homepage. So, it works like an advertisement that further promotes your company and its job openings. Your company’s featured name and logo link to your company’s Learn4Good profile where candidates can see a list of links to all your company’s job posts.
Additionally, as a featured company, you can consult with Learn4Good’s experts for advice on how to make your job posts more attractive to job seekers.
Featured companies may also set up automatic daily or weekly résumé alerts that send you résumés that match your job specifications via email.
Learn4Good Customer Service and Support
Learn4Good offers customer support via email and support ticket. However, there’s no information on the site about the days and hours of customer support availability. We reached out to Learn4Good’s customer support via email and received an answer the next business day. Although we appreciated a satisfactory response, Learn4Good’s customer support might not be able to get back to you in a timely manner for more pressing issues with its site.

*Guru reimburses for the invoicing fee if you pay freelancers via e-check or wire transfer.
Learn4Good vs. Guru
While Learn4Good is a general job posting site for a range of job types and locations, Guru plugs you into a network of freelance talent from around the globe. In this way, Learn4Good covers a wider spectrum of use cases. However, Guru’s Enterprise plan offers access to premium features, such as automated, customizable workflows, onboarding, analytics and third-party integrations.
Learn4Good vs. Hubstaff Talent
Learn4Good and Hubstaff Talent are very similar because they’re both no-frills job posting sites that simply allow companies to post jobs, view applications and search for candidates. The major difference between the two is that Hubstaff Talent focuses on hiring remote freelancers, while Learn4Good can be used to hire different types of employees for remote or on-site positions.
Hubstaff Talent also has a few advantages over Learn4Good. For one, its free version doesn’t limit your view of applicants’ contact information. Plus, it includes some third-party integrations. Hubstaff Talent also has a much cleaner user interface (UI) to navigate. However, Learn4Good has the benefit of job ad promotion and company logo placement when you upgrade to a premium membership, while Hubstaff Talent does not offer these options.
Learn4Good vs. PostJobFree
Learn4Good and PostJobFree are quite similar to the extent that they’re both general job posting sites that don’t target any specific demographic. They’re also both simple in their functionality, offering job posting and candidate search. However, PostJobFree syndicates job postings, while Learn4Good does not. PostJobFree also provides a cleaner, more intuitive UI than Learn4Good.
Our Expert Opinion
Setup
It was very easy to get started with Learn4Good by creating an account for our company and setting up login credentials.
Ease of Use
After setting up our account, we were directed immediately to the job posting page to create a job ad. Learn4Good has rudimentary functionality, simple job posting, job promotion and candidate search, and yet its site is quite busy and, therefore, difficult to navigate. We’re also not sure why candidate search is available to free users when the contact information is concealed and is thus of no use to those users. We were also disappointed to see so few search results for a broad search we conducted on its site.
Bottom Line: Is Learn4Good Right for You?
Learn4Good is a no-frills job posting site that will fit low-budget hiring needs. It’s very easy to post jobs. However, Learn4Good’s free version has limited search functionality and doesn’t integrate with other software. Therefore, Learn4Good is better suited for posting jobs rather than actively seeking out job candidates.
Learn4Good is best for:
- Free job posting
- Low-budget hiring
- Companies that are hiring a range of employee types and for a range of positions
Learn4Good is not recommended for:
- Companies that want a built-in ATS and hiring collaboration tools
- Companies that want robust candidate search functionality
- Companies that want syndicated job posting to big-name job posting sites, such as Indeed and ZipRecruiter
