Logan Allec is a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the founder of tax resolution company Choice Tax Relief and the founder of personal finance blog Money Done Right. He also educates thousands of people daily on his YouTube channel and is a contributing writer for several publications, including Money, LegalZoom, and The Balance.
Before launching his own firm, Logan was in a management position at a “Big Four” accounting firm, managing high-level tax compliance and consulting engagements for publicly traded companies and high-net-worth individuals. While at the firm, Logan mentored many newer accountants as they earned their CPA license and progressed in their careers. Since starting his own company, Logan and his team at Choice Tax Relief have negotiated down over $10,000,000 in back tax debt for their clients. Many of these settlements have involved high-stakes negotiations with IRS and state collections officials—including revenue officers threatening wage garnishments and bank levies — and Logan is pleased to offer his clients protection and relief in these difficult matters.
In an effort to spread awareness about how the IRS and tax debt relief actually work, Logan publishes content about these topics multiple times a week to his eponymous YouTube channel. On a weekly basis—and especially during tax season—Logan’s expertise is highly sought after in major publications, and he routinely serves as a source for journalists creating tax- and accounting-related pieces. Logan has been a Big Idea Presenter at FinCon as well as a career events panelist for his alma mater, the University of California, Los Angeles.
Logan lives with his family in the Los Angeles area. If he’s not arguing with IRS collections personnel or creating original tax content, you can probably find him running around with his kids at the beach, finding the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants in L.A., or streaming a B-movie horror flick late at night.
