What is Covered

The Travel Insurance Saver travel insurance policy is available to all ages, with no maximum age limit for taking out coverage. Accompanying children are also automatically covered along with the policyholder up to 25 years of age, provided they are working less than 30 hours per week and are travelling with you for the entire trip.

Personal liability up to $1 million is covered on the plan, alongside credit card fraud up to $3,000. Cancellations are also covered with the amount chosen by the customer when taking out the policy.

While the Travel Insurance Saver policy doesn’t provide cover for missed connecting flights, it does provide cover if you miss a connection en route to a special event. That cover is up to $2,000 which can be used for additional transport to get to your special event on time.

What about Sports and Activities?

Travel Insurance Saver doesn’t specify which activities it covers, as its website claims that generally, most activities are. There are some specific activities that are excluded, which are:

In terms of snow sports, there is an option to add the snow cover extra onto your policy. The snow sports that are covered by this add-on are snow skiing and snowboarding on and off piste, backcountry skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling, tobogganing; cross-country skiing, and telemark skiing.
