Aussietravelcover offers a comprehensive service for Australian travellers both internationally and domestically. It provides up-to-date information on the Australian government’s travel advice and restrictions through its websites, ensuring travellers are up to date before they take out a policy.

It also offers an instant quote service online, and has updated its PDS in 2022 to reflect COVID-19 coverage (it did not previously cover COVID-19 for medical or trip cancellation claims).

However, Aussietravelcover does have a number of negative reviews online which say it has poor customer service that makes it difficult to send claims. However, there are only some 20 reviews online, and a larger sample size would be required to definitively make a judgment on the company’s performance in this area.

Pros

  • Instant quote online
  • Has updated its PDS to include COVID-19 cover
  • Unlimited medical expenses including dental (up to $1000)

Cons

  • Negative reviews

  • Need to pay for additional packs for activity coverage, such as snow sports and motorbiking
